The Maritime League Inc. officers led by VAdm Eduardo Ma. R. Santos, President and Board Chairman, visited AGFO Center on July 28,2023. He was accompanied by Maritime League Trustees RAdm Margarito Sanchez, an AGFO member; LTJG Christian Chua, a naval reservist officer, and Mr. John Paul Agustin, League’s web site designer. Admiral Santos has been the President of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) since his retirement in 1999 after serving as Flag Officer In Command, PN. He is also an honorary Ambassador of the International Maritime Organization.
AGFO President VAdm Emilio C Marayag Jr took the opportunity to pin the AGFO star pin on Admiral Santos’ collar after learning that the latter never received one and it was his first visit to AGFO Center since joining the Association 25 years ago. Admiral Marayag worked under Admiral Santos as naval modernization director and naval staff for plans. Admiral Santos later paid a courtesy call on Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr at the NDRRMC Operations Center. |
